The Projects Committee organises Social Events for the enjoyment of members, with any profits made from these activities going to the National Trust “Wish List”.  This is an annual list, produced by local National Trust properties, of small items or projects that would help to improve their visitor experience.

In 2017, in conjunction with the Day Trips, Holidays and Walks groups, we were able to donate £7,300 to the next “Wish List”; details of this can be seen here, and will also be in a future newsletter.

In previous years this fundraising has paid for outdoor seating at Goddards and children’s trikes and play equipment at Beningbrough, amongst many other items and improvements.

The Projects Committee has put together the following programme of Social Events for your enjoyment:

St. Crux

As St Crux is undergoing repairs to the fabric, we will not be holding the usual Summer Fair this year.

Andrew Thwaite, Chocolatier, will be demonstrating his chocolate arts, with samples for guests, on Tuesday October 2nd at St Edwards Church Extension, Dringhouses from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Andrew is highly recommended and we are sure this will be a very enjoyable and tasty afternoon.
